Costas Foulides
Costas Foulides currently acts as Head of the Investment Banking at Alpha Bank.
Costas joined Alpha Bank in 1995 as account officer at the Corporate Banking Division and from 1999 as a project manager at Alpha Finance, ECM transactions.
From 2002 he was seconded at the Ministry of Finance, Privatization Secretariat, as financial advisor to the Privatization Secretary, while from 2011 has joined the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (TAIPED), initially as project manager and as Chief Operating Officer from 2013 onwards.
He returned to Alpha Bank in 2015 as Director at the Investment Banking Division. He possesses extensive experience in Privatizations, M&As and Capital Markets transactions (AIA (2024), Optima bank (2023), Trade Estates (2023), Dimand S.A. (2022), DEPA privatization (2022), Egnatia Motorway concession (ongoing), DEPA Restructuring of its participations (2018), DESFA privatization (2018), OPAP privatization (2013), 14 Greek Regional Airport Concession, State Lotteries Concession (2011), Sale of OTE shares to Deutsche Telekom, Accelerated book building offerings of OTE, NBG and TT shares, Combined secondary offerings of PPC and OPAP shares, Olympic Airways privatization etc.).
Costas is currently leading the Investment Banking team in numerus undergoing transactions such as the sale of HelleniQ Energy’s stake in DEPA Commercial, a cross border acquisition of a multinational energy company, a cross border acquisition of a financial institution, the sale of shares of a Greek industrial company among others.
Costas holds a BA and MA in economics (econometrics and statistics) from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). Before joining the industry, he worked as a research and teaching assistant in AUEB and as research fellow at University of Pittsburgh, USA.
